We celebrate sex!
We really love it…
But for many people, their sex life is not all roses and great orgasms.
Many people make simple, but dangerous mistakes with their sexual health and literally put their lives at risk.
If you want to give your man back-arching, toe-curling, screaming orgasms that will keep him sexually obsessed with you, then you can learn these sex techniques in my private and discreet newsletter. You'll also learn the 5 dangerous mistakes that will ruin your sex life and relationship. Get it here.
But readers of The Bad Girls Bible know that they have a responsibility to protect themselves and their partners from harm when exploring great sex.
It would be wrong to pretend that sex is all fun & games with no consequences.
If you are not safe, then sex does have some pretty bad consequences.
Below you’ll find some of the most important things that you need to consider every time you have sex.
They may not sound fun, but they are incredibly important if you want to prevent disease and/or pregnancy
Condoms are a fantastic way to help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). While they don’t work 100% of the time in preventing the transmission of disease during sex, they vastly reduce the chances of transmission.
Coupled with reducing the likelihood of disease transmission, condoms also greatly diminish your chances of becoming pregnant.
Thankfully there are a multitude of different condom types widely available. You can get male condoms and female ones. You can get them large or small. And you can get them in different materials too, in case you are allergic to certain substances like rubber.
I could write all day about condoms, but there are already some really excellent resources out there on them.
Make sure to specifically check out the ‘Effectiveness’ part of the article. Remember, condoms don’t work 100% of the time. Anyone who tells you otherwise is misinformed.
This instructional video may be a bit shocking for you, but it will teach you how to make any man completely & utterly obsessed with you & only you by using 3 simple techniques. Check it out here to learn how.
The discovery of the contraceptive pill heralded a dramatic shift for women throughout the world.
‘The Pill’, when used correctly is a form of birth control that can help to control ovulation. By controlling ovulation, you can prevent yourself from getting pregnant.
But like condoms, the pill does not work 100% of the time.
While The Pill greatly reduces your chances of getting pregnant, if used correctly, it does not reduce the risk of disease transmission. So it’s still very important to use condoms.
For more information on the contraceptive pill, make sure to check out this website, which has some great information on the pill:
Talking about condoms and the pill is something that almost nobody has a problem with these days. However many still don’t want to talk about getting tested regularly.
If either you or your partner has been in sexual contact with someone else in recent times, then there is a risk of disease transmission, even if you have taken the precaution of using condoms.
To find out if either of you are carrying anything, you need to get tested by your local health care provider.
While it may be obvious that you have an STD due to itching, pain or discharge, many STDs are symptomless, but can still cause damage (some make you infertile!).
Warning: You may be visiting your doctor and getting a blood test for other reasons. These tests won’t discover your STDs. You need to specifically get an STD test to find out if you are carrying an STD. Sounds obvious, but many have made this mistake.
For more detailed information on STDs and STD testing, check out this section of Planned Parenthood’s website:
Don’t Forget To Tell People!
While people certainly think about using condoms, the pill and getting tested regularly, many women forget about their physical safety while on a date.
With the rise in semi-anonymous internet dating along with horrendous stories about things like Craigslist Killers, it’s important to take your physical safety in the moment into consideration when planning ahead for sex.
So before you go and meet someone new or before you go somewhere that you aren’t familiar with, make sure to tell someone.
- Tell them where you are going.
- And tell them when you are returning.
Another option is to have your friend call you at a pre-planned time to make sure everything is ok (and to give you a reason to leave if your date is going badly).
Having read this article, you might be thinking ‘duh’, I already know all of this! That may be true, but a little reminder every now and then is a good thing. [photo credit: timtak, creative commons]
