What The Receiver Does In The Corkscrew Position
If your partner is standing next to the bed, you’ll need to scoot close to the edge. Your butt might stick off a bit during the Corkscrew position.
While you can keep your entire body facing away from your partner, you can also lean your upper body backward. This lets you look at your partner, which can be great for dirty talking. You may also be able to kiss while doing the Corkscrew if your bodies allow it.
Your upper arm will be free, which you can use to touch yourself or your partner–or simply grab the sheets if you prefer! You may also enjoy using a vibrator in the Corkscrew position.

What The Penetrating Partner Does In The Corkscrew Sex Position
It’s all about thrusting in this sex position. You can grab your partner’s hips, legs, or another body part for leverage. If you’re standing, you might be able to grab onto the headboard for similar reasons.
It may be possible to reach around to play with your partner’s breasts or clitoris. It may be possible to spank your partner, like you would during Doggy style. And when your partner faces away from you, you can pull their hair.

If you find the height doesn’t work when kneeling, try standing, or vice versa. Spreading your knees further can lower you while keeping them closer together will raise your body up.
How To Enhance The Corkscrew Position
While the Corkscrew is solid on its own, you can get more out of it with the following changes:
Use a pillow – Placing a pillow under your hips can raise your body to make penetration easier in the Corkscrew position.
Try a mirror – The Corkscrew works well for having sex in front of a mirror–or a camera–because you’re both facing the same direction.
Do it on the couch – If the penetrating partner is standing, you could try this position on a tall couch. Kneeling can work on a couch with deep cushions, chaise, or ottoman.

Variations and Similar Positions to Corkscrew
If you like the Corkscrew and want to try something similar–or if it’s not quite up your alley–here are a few options!
Flatiron

Flatiron is quite like Corkscrew, but the receiving partner’s lower half will lying flat on the bed with their legs spread like in the demonstration above. This lets the penetrating partner get between your legs, similar to Missionary. It gives less access to your body, however.
Intersection

Intersection is a little more unique than Corkscrew. While you’re on your side, your partner will slide between your legs. This sex position can be tricky if there isn’t a room for your partner’s body between your legs or if they’re too heavy to lay on you comfortably. Placing your top leg backwards and your bottom leg forwards may make it easier.
Pretzel

You can move from Corkscrew to Pretzel position by having your partner slide their leg between yours to straddle your bottom leg as you can see in the illustration above.
Spooning

Spooning is the classic sideways sex position, so it makes sense if it reminds you of the Corkscrew. In this position, your partner will lie behind you and parallel to your body. You can potentially make more skin contact and it feels more intimate than the Corkscrew. That’s why it works well for love making.

A constant question: I consistently get emails asking how to orgasm more easily & often during sex. I usually recommend this 3 step system that makes it a lot easier (& fun!). You can also see people's reactions to it here 😉
Screw

Finally, we have the Screw, which is quite similar to the Corkscrew. Instead of kneeling or standing, the penetrating partner will place the lower half of their body on the bed, similar to Missionary position but behind you. This may work better for you if your heights don’t align for the Corkscrew position.
Sean’s Thoughts On The Corkscrew Sex Position
Corkscrew is a great sex position because it will be easy enough for most people. If your partner has a small penis (tips to work around a small penis), especially if you’ve got a bigger butt, it might not work well. But most people can give this position a whirl without any preparation, and it could be a good option for pregnancy sex.
Orgasm Every Time. Easily. Here’s How...
I want to tell you about my friend Karen.
Karen came to me one day. She was hysterical.
She told me that her marriage was falling apart because she and her husband didn’t have satisfying sex.
Every time they were intimate, Karen was faking her orgasms. It turns out she couldn’t orgasm during sex.
In fact...
She never had an orgasm in her entire life. Not one!
This left her feeling embarrassed and ashamed.
Even worse...
She stopped wanting sex with her husband, slowly driving him away, and...
Almost destroying her marriage. Thankfully...
It turns out that there is a simple solution for women who struggle to orgasm, whether you are having sex or masturbating.
I shared the process with Karen.
After she followed the simple process, she could barely come to terms with how...
Quickly and dramatically her sex life changed.
We met up a few months later and...
She would not stop talking about it,
“I thought I was one of those women who couldn’t orgasm. I used to think I was ‘broken’ and ‘unfixable.’ This saved my sex life, and that saved my marriage.”
Even if you currently struggle to orgasm during sex or while masturbating, this process will also work for you.
And best of all, you don’t need to do anything weird or uncomfortable to start having the best orgasms and sex of your life.
